At the core of the structure of the Baza Development Association (BAZADA) there is the management team that is the driving force — a dedicated group of individuals, each with a unique set of skills and a shared passion for the empowerment of the Baza community. The management team of BAZADA is not just a group of leaders; they are the coordinators of change, and the pillars upon which the community’s aspirations rest. The following are the office holders of the management team:

1. The Chief Executive Officer– Mr. Assed A. Ama

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of BAZADA is the guiding force, overseeing the overall functioning of the association. He sets the strategic vision, represent BAZADA in external forums, and ensure that all initiatives align with the organization’s goals. The CEO fosters collaborations, inspiring both the team and the community.

2. Director of Operations: Mr. Sakeo Milleon Amare

The Development Fund Manage holds a leadership role overseeing various aspects of fundraising, donor relations, and resource mobilization. The Development Fund Manager in a BAZADA has the responsibility of managing and overseeing the organization’s fundraising efforts.

3. Development Fund Manager: Mr. Michael Wolela

4.The Finance and Treasury Officer: Miss. Leda A. Shenger

The Finance and Treasury officer oversees the financial aspects of BAZADA. She manages budgets, financial records, and participates in fundraising initiatives. The Treasurer ensures financial sustainability, allocates resources for various programs, and maintains accountability in financial matters.

5. Legal Counsel: Mr. Araya Isak

The Legal Counsel serves as the organization’s legal advisor and is responsible for providing legal guidance, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and managing legal affairs for the non-profit. They may also work closely with the Board of Directors and other senior leaders to address legal issues, draft contracts and agreements, handle disputes, and develop organizational policies. As a key member of the executive Management, the Legal Counsel plays a crucial role in advising on legal matters that impact the organization’s mission, programs, and activities. They collaborate with the CEO and Director of Operations to ensure that the organization operates within legal boundaries and can effectively achieve its goals while mitigating legal risks.

6. Monitoring & Evaluation Manager: Mr. Tesfu Abraham

The Assessment, Monitoring and Evaluation (AME) Manager is responsible for ensuring the effective functioning of BAZADA by monitoring and evaluating the programs and projects as well as making sure that the administrative rules and policies are adhered to.
The team who is lead by the manager will from time to time conduct a comprehensive assessment of the programs that are designed to improve the economic and social situation of the Baza community. The aim of this assessment is to provide a detailed understanding of the current challenges, opportunities, and needs of the community, which will inform the development of targeted interventions and initiatives for sustainable development. The assessment will encompass various aspects, including economic indicators, social dynamics, infrastructure, education, healthcare, and community engagement

7. Internal Audit: Vacant

The internal auditor in BAZADA is crucial for ensuring financial transparency, operational efficiency, and compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The internal auditor in an organization like BAZADA plays a critical role in safeguarding the integrity and efficiency of the organization’s operations. The team helps to maintain public trust and ensure that the organization’s resources are used effectively towards fulfilling its mission and goals.
