Their tasks are expansive and vital, ranging from engaging with the local and Diaspora community to understand their deepest needs and aspirations, to building robust relationships and collaborations that amplify collective efforts for community betterment. This dedicated team meticulously manages the community’s public image, employing various communication strategies like media relations, public speaking engagements, and adept social media management. By actively collecting data through surveys, focus groups, and other means, they ensure the community’s voice is heard, advocating for their rights and raising awareness about crucial social issues. The Women’s Affairs team is dedicated to empowering women through various initiatives focusing on rights, health, wellness, economic empowerment, entrepreneurship, capacity development, and social and cultural engagement. They coordinate activities and develop policies to combat discrimination against women and enhance leadership skills. The team emphasizes women’s health by promoting reproductive health, access to healthcare, and awareness of women’s health issues. Economic empowerment and entrepreneurship are supported through training, mentorship, and access to resources. Health and wellness services are tailored to women’s needs, including reproductive, maternal, sexual, mental health, and general wellness, collaborating with healthcare providers and educators. Additionally, the team leads programs to boost women’s capacity in various life aspects and encourages their social and cultural engagement, including educational workshops and seminars on health topics specific to women.
