As part of its long-term vision for community development and institutional growth, BAZADA is establishing a network of Centers of Excellence and community chapters across regions with significant Baza population presence. These chapters serve as strategic platforms for mobilization, coordination, cultural preservation, and implementation of development initiatives.
In the United States, BAZADA has already established active chapters in states such as Iowa, with additional organizational structures and expansion efforts underway in other states with growing Baza communities, including South Dakota, Arizona, Georgia, Missouri, Texas, Minnesota, and Colorado. South Dakota continues to serve as an important coordination hub for the organization’s broader strategic activities.
Beyond the diaspora, BAZADA has also established community presence and operational chapters in Kassala, Sudan, as well as in Ethiopia, reflecting the organization’s commitment to maintaining strong grassroots connections within the historical homeland regions of the Baza people. Additional chapters and community centers are envisioned across Eritrea, Ethiopia, and Sudan in major towns and cities where sizable Baza populations reside.
These chapters play a vital role in advancing BAZADA’s mission by aligning local community efforts with the organization’s broader humanitarian, cultural, and development agenda. Each chapter functions as a center for community engagement, coordination, and participation, helping to ensure that development programs and initiatives are implemented effectively and consistently across different regions.
As the network of chapters continues to grow, BAZADA places strong emphasis on coordination, accountability, and collaboration among all branches. This includes strengthening communication systems, enhancing public awareness, encouraging diaspora engagement, and establishing regular feedback mechanisms to support continuous improvement of programs and operations.
Through this decentralized yet unified structure, BAZADA seeks to foster collective action, strengthen community resilience, and build sustainable pathways for social and economic development for Baza communities worldwide.
